It's that time of year again!

For leaf raking.

I hate raking leaves.  I shouldn't really call it raking, since we do more leaf blowing than actual raking.  Perhaps it is more appropriate for me to say that I hate leaves, because they're the real source of this trouble.

This post was originally going to be a before and after shot, but we ran out of gas for the leaf blower after only about 15 minutes of blowing, so here's a before:

And that's pretty much how it still looks.

Oh well.  This is our third year of living in this house, and having to deal with all of the work that nature forces upon us.  But we're both learning to let go.  Does it really matter if there are leaves in our driveway for a few more weeks?  Definitely not.  Why stress over something so trivial in the grand scheme of life?

it looks so pretty where you live!

And although I love leaves I know I won't once we own any land that we have to take care of ourselves. I remember growing up my mom would make us go out on Saturday's and spend the afternoon racking/bagging up leaves. I.hated.it. Especially when you live out in the country. They never stop!

Nobody will notice a few leaves (or bundles of them) hanging out in your drive :)
